About Blockrora
Independent, global news on AI, blockchain, fintech and the technology changing how the world works.
Blockrora is an independent news publication covering the technology that is changing how the world works, earns and lives. We report on artificial intelligence, blockchain and digital assets, fintech, business, science and health for readers who want to understand what is happening, not just hear that it happened.
We have published since February 2024, for readers all over the world. Every story sets out to answer three questions: what happened, why it matters, and what comes next.
What we cover
- Technology: artificial intelligence, the companies building it, and the chips, platforms and software it runs on.
- Blockchain: crypto networks, digital assets, stablecoins and the rules being written for them.
- Finance & Markets: fintech, payments and the markets that move with technology.
- Business: the deals, launches and strategy behind the headlines.
- Science and Health: research and medicine where technology is changing what is possible.
- Opinion: argued, clearly labelled points of view from our writers and guest contributors.
How we report
We go to primary sources: filings, research papers, code, official statements and the people involved. We explain technical subjects in plain language without leaving out what matters, and we keep news separate from opinion. Most stories open with key points, a short summary for readers in a hurry.
Our full commitments, including how we check facts and correct mistakes, are set out in our editorial standards.

Ownership and funding
Blockrora was founded by Warren Manuel, and is owned and published by Bitrora, a technology company based in Cape Town, South Africa. Bitrora also builds software, including the payments app Solid. When we write about Bitrora or its products, we say so.
Blockrora is free to read. It is paid for by advertising, sponsored content and partnerships. Sponsored articles and press releases are labelled Sponsored and kept out of the Morning Brief and Google News, and advertisers have no say over our journalism. News coverage is never for sale.
How we use AI
Our journalism is reported and written by people. We use AI tools to help with production: suggesting key points, summaries and search descriptions that an editor checks before publishing, and reading stories aloud with a clearly labelled AI voice. An editor is responsible for everything we publish.
Partners
We work with Korsie on free educational resources that make blockchain technology easier to understand. Find out how we work with other organisations on our partnerships page.
